"I became a piano student of “Doc” Mark Terenzi at age sixteen, a high school junior with a lot of enthusiasm and energy (and, some might say, raw talent) but very little focus and discipline. Doc T gave me Bach, Beethoven and Rachmaninoff and taught me real attention to detail to refine my playing. As a result of my work with him, over the next two years I won two piano competitions and was offered large scholarships at major schools of music including Indiana University, and the University of Iowa where I enrolled. (I can still hear him insisting, "When Beethoven marks sforzando, he means it!!" Thank you so much for the jump start to my piano career, Doc!!"

"Mark Terenzi is a dream to collaborate with! It has been my great joy to have entered into his choral world with some frequency as a guest clinician during his tenure at Kean University. Mark’s choirs were not only well-disciplined, well-prepared and musically flexible and responsive, but they also exuded a great joy of music making. We all know that this comes from the top. I highly recommend Mark for any kind of choral conducting be it at a university, professional or community choir, as well as guest conducting, workshops and master classes."
